The text articulates the often binary view of the world, where things are perceived as either good or bad. Where is the space for the gray areas of life? Where is the time and perspective for a rational, argumentative view without dogmatic restrictions? Decisions made on instinct often feel "strong and right" at first, but depending on potential consequences, they should be open to discussion with an open mind. Throughout all of this, we must not forget that we are fortunate to express ourselves freely - within an ethical framework - without the fear of repression or physical violence. We can make meaningful use of this freedom without constraining ourselves with black-and-white thinking.
